SCR Catalytic muffler is mainly used in diesel engine exhaust system. SCR means selective catalytic reduction. Its principle is that NO and NO2 reduced to N2 under reducing agent NH3 and 290-400 Celsius. Almost no NH3 oxidation reaction occur. Domestic former SCR catalyst entirely dependent on imports. The results showed that diesel engine using SCR technology than using EGR plus particulate trap technology can save about 5% fuel consumption. When upgrade euro V standards, SCR technology is easier come true than EGR technology easier. Another SCR technology is not sensitive to sulfur content of the fuel.
