What`s Catalytic Converter
A catalytic converter is a device that uses a catalyst to convert three harmful compounds in car exhaust into harmless compounds.The three harmful compounds are:
-Hydrocarbons VOCs (in the form of unburned gasoline, produce smog)
-Carbon monoxide CO (is a poison for any air-breathing anima)
- Nitrogen oxides NOx (lead to smog and acid rain)


How does catalytic converter work
In a catalytic converter, the catalyst (in the form of platinum and palladium) is coated onto a ceramic honeycomb or ceramic beads that are housed in a muffler-like package attached to the exhaust pipe. The catalyst helps to convert carbon monoxide into carbon dioxide(CO to CO2 ). It converts the hydrocarbons into carbon dioxide(CO2 ) and water. It also converts the nitrogen oxides back into nitrogen and oxygen.



Ceramic Catalyst Introduction
Our ceramic catalyst substrate is made of high-quality cordierite with low thermal expansion coefficient. Which make our catalyst substrate can endure thermal shock and owns high mechanical strength.
The special coating technic makes the catalyst well combinded with the substrate and prolong the lifetime of the catalyst substrate.

Initial Purifying rate : CO/CH >90%; NOx >80%
Purifying rate after 100hrs quick aging test:        CO/CH >75%; NOx >60%
Ceramic catalyst Lifetime:   >80000 KMS for new car ;   
                        >50000 KMS for used car;
