a: Appearance: casting iron crankshaft appearance is more rough than forged steel
crankshaft;
b: Percussive sound: forged steel crankshaft tapping sound is more ringing & echo is
longer;
c: Material chemical analysis;
d: Product weight: casting iron crankshaft is lighter than forged steel crankshaft (the
density of casting iron is 7.2 & 7.8 for forged steel).
